Hello everyone and welcome to The Pompomist

It is with great pleasure that I begin this weblog! The Pompomist is written, edited and produced by me, the Chief Pompomist. I will take a bit of space to introduce myself as a way to kick off what I hope will be an ongoing dialog.

The Pompomist covers many topics that are tremendously interesting to me: design, architecture, music, fashion and other assorted items of interest (with a hint of humor) that I hope to share with you through this medium.

I am a Dominican architect who has been living in South Florida for over a decade. While in college, I switched majors a couple of times. I started studying engineering. A year later I switched to music. Eventually I made up my mind and became an architect.

These transitions, my passion for music and architecture, plus my mother and uncle working for the fashion industry, have given me knowledge in all these different areas, which will be the main focus of this weblog.

You will notice that I have a sometimes dark and sarcastic sense of humor. I am open-minded and vocal, so I frequently express clearly my opinion about things even though you didn’t request it.

I would like your input on the blog. So please, if there are posts that you dislike, posts that you want to see more of, or just questions please let know by leaving a comment! Initially I will be posting just a few times a week. But in time, I will hopefully announce more frequent postings.
