How Does She Do It?!
Finding the best/cheapest price possible in an item is my mother’s #1 mission. She’s just so obsessed with finding bargains and saving money. She visits stores like Ross,
For example, a couple of weeks ago when I told her that a pack of 8 paper towels in my local pharmacy costs $5, she nearly fainted. Also, last weekend I told her that I bought a pack of strawberries at Publix for $2.99, she thought the world was gonna come to an end. Or the time I showed her a top I bought at Gap that was reduced from $68 to $20… she said it was wayyy too much money.
Since then she’s been on a mission to buy me all sorts of fruits, toiletries, clothing and other products, so that I can then bring them home and not have to spend so much money on them.
And so she called the other day to tell me that she got from Macy’s, five blouses for me for the grand price of $6.00 and some flip flops for… nothing, 12 bars of soap from a market for $1.00, a pair of Marc Jacobs pants for her for $10.00, and a big watermelon from somewhere in Krome Ave. for $2.00 (actually, the seller even gave her one for free). I mean… WTF?!
How does she do it? I have no idea how this is possible! I asked her how it came to be that she bought something and the store gave her products or money back. She explained, but it quickly got very complicated. Anyhow, these purchases (or whatever those were) are the things that make her happy. And I have nooo problem with that.
