What In The World Is This?

Ok, check this flash video commercial and think of what this little thingy might be...



Is it a robotic egg? Is it an artifact dropped by a flying saucer? Is it the next children Christmas toy sensation?

Nope, this is Sony’s newest (and oddest) product called Rolly: a sort of robotic mp3 player thingy that responds to the music it transmits and moves around. It transmits light through multi-colored rings and has funny little speakers or ears that pop out and spin around.
Sony is secretly launching this product sometime in September, so I wasn’t able to gather more information about this new device. I did find though a blog that delivers a bit more information, which you can check right here.
I don’t know about you, but I prefer my electronics to come in a sleek design without ‘dancing’ in my pant pocket.
